 Lately it seems like hubby is in a slump...he wants to sleep all day and lay awake at night. He sets and just stares at the grandkids or me and doesn't' want to do anything. Finally, I turned around and said, "Brent do you hurt anywhere"...he says "no". I said, "then get up and move and find something to do".....I said, "you are not dead and not dying today so let's not just give up". Apparently, that is all he needed...he walked in and talked to the grandkids and then looked for his word search books and started working them. Sometimes we just need to be shaken from our thoughts and life. He is now more like the old Brent. Not sure if it was me and daughter talking about the wheelchair that has done it or not. We ordered a chair, and it will be coming but it is to get him outside not depress him. We go to the neurologist in a couple weeks and see how things are going...but until then...we are staying alive and moving these bodies and enjoying life....

Removing and replacing our old pathway

 We moved into our home about 15 years ago at that time we decided to place a walkway down through the yard to a firepit.  Our family loves to sit around the backyard fire and roast hotdogs and marshmallows.  We haven't done much to the walkway except spray it once in a while with weed kill but today we decided it was time to remove and repair.  So we began to dig out the bricks..it was amazing how some were buried and some were broken.  They all were beginning to sink down deeper and deeper. There was a lot of moss that had even grown over the top of them.  But hubby and I worked together and got them all dug up.  The pathway went from the deck to the firepit ring.  All of these bricks have been recycled we would watch for free ones.  Sometimes just driving down the road there would be bricks with a sign take all you want.  So some of these bricks have different says on them.  We also enjoy using our dutch ovens....

Vintage 1960 "Sunny Suzy" ironing board

 I purchased this little ironing board, with it's original cover and iron from the lady who purchased it in 1960. She had it put away for her daughter who never got to use it.  So it was kinds sad for her to sell it but I just fell in love with the bright colors of it.  The legs are a little stiff to put up and down, and a little tarnish in places but just a fun little item.  This was back when little ones used to watch their momma's iron.  Not to much of that being done now-a-days, but a great item. This one is newer and I find it's just a great little one, it also comes with an extra holder for the iron.  So sweet and they both can be folded down flat. These will be on sale on a couple web sites and also if still available at the Nez Perce Fair Building on February 16, 2012 at our first vendor showing for the year....
