Our Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson disease journey #27

Daughter came home with her two boys...she is such a help. We are working on some things to make life easier plus she is helping with important paperwork. I have found that I need lists.....lots of lists.....I don't know how most of you handled this but from what I read...lists are good. 1. list is for hubby's books....I found I have to have only one book out....I write the name of that book on the list and keep it to show hubby what book he is in....to many books and he reads a page or two in several and thinks he has read all of them. 2. bathing....he thinks he has taken a bath an hour ago. When you say time to take a bath....we have issues. 3. changing clothes....when he takes a bath I sneak in and take his dirty clothes and leave his clean clothes....he can't tell the difference for some reason. 4. where things go........mercy....this drives me crazy.....I find things everywhere......and somethings I am still looking for. 5. learning to just go along.........when

Who's ready for Fall?

Wow ...who would think we are already thinking about Fall....but after driving through the mountains of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming the last week and seeing the trees and bushes already turning the Fall colors I came home and decided it's time to get my list out and go to work.  I always like preparing ahead of time for everything......I always want to be ready.......so I prepared a list......my list and you can change it and make it your own...or just make your own....but a list keeps me organized and I love checking the items off as I go......and yes, I will probably be adding more as the days go by...no special order...just a list 1.  clean gutters 2. repair the gutters if needed 3. wash the windows inside and out 4. get out all lumber jack plaid 5. order firewood if needed...or furnace oil... 6.  make a batch of homemade chili 7. replace or clean furnace filters 8. get out Fall throws and pillows 9.  Mouse proof all house 10. change all bedding and lines to Fall decor 11. put

Vintage ideal Christmas books

Yesterday I stopped by a local thrift store that I love to stop at.  This store helps the community so much that I love to stop, donate and be a part of it.  I have so many times been inside the store when someone comes in asking for help, help with electricity, rent, food, housing or just items.  This thrift store does everything they can to help out. I just wish I had thousands of dollars to give.  But until then I do what I can. Then, I noticed that they had all these vintage books.  I love vintage Christmas books. I love the poems, stories and pictures.  Such beautiful pictures.  This will give me hours of relaxing enjoyment.
