 This is a never used vintage pattern.  From 1976 and the "Down on the Farm Original" collection.  This is just the paper pattern for a critter coverlette.  List of all the fabrics to make are on the back.  A 2008 pompom kit from the Martha Stewart collection.  Never been opened and it makes 2 really large pompoms and 3 medium sized pompoms.  Pink and red in color and are great for any occasion. This vintage coverlets is of a cute little rabbit.  Finished item is 45"x54 " and is a great critter coverlet.  All required fabric is listed on the back.  Our beautiful daughter...our only daughter...she does such a great job on all her projects...and she has so many talents.  She made me this loopy crocheted sweater for Christmas and it is so fun.  Even with the large holes in the stitches this is so warm.  It has a lot of uses as when I am not wearing it I use it as a cover up when I lay down to rest.  Had a client write and ask us to make her and orange crocheted doily.  Well, I haven't crocheted a doily using crochet thread for quite a while so this would be an undertaking for me.  So I researched some patterns from some old crochet books to see what I could find that wasn't to hard but doable.  We had to order in some pumpkin 100% cotton thread.  Here in our small town we have a Walmart but they only carry a little of the white thread.  So to get the pumpkin color we had to order in 3 balls.  I now have plenty of pumpkin.  This doily starts out basic and then goes into clusters of wheat.  Each little row working out to the ends are clusters of wheat.  Most of this pattern is done in sc, dc, and dctr crochet...so not hard.  You just have to remember to keep counting.  You don't want your doily to start curling.  That would be from to tight of stitches or to many stitches.  So had to keep my count accurate.  When almost done this doily is going to be 18

Finally Christmas day is here....all the presents are ready and under the tree.  House is clean ...hubby reading the newspaper ….we got the ham in the oven getting all cooked.  There are 3 batches of candy made on the counter, gourmet caramel corn all bagged up.   Cherry pie cooling on the counter...couple salads in the refrigerator.  So I guess we are getting closer to being done.  We have 4 children and have been blessed to have them home most of the time for the holidays.  Oldest son lives 13 hours away so we don't see his family much any more.  Sure miss them.  Be sure to love and hug on the family members that want to be around.  Let them know how much you love and appreciate them.  Time goes so fast and then you look back and wonder.....what happened to when they were just learning to crawl or walk.  The excitement of them opening their gifts...they didn't care what was inside they just loved the opening of them and all the excitement....we have been so blessed.  Now we g

 Finally got the throw, blanket or wall hanging done.  This can be used as any of them.  I purchased a panel and added fiberfill and backing.  I began to hand quilt stitch all around different objects.  As I hand quilted it made the picture become dimensional.  So love the bright colors in it.  Love these kinds of things for the holidays and enjoy doing the hand work.  It relaxs me and I then enjoy what is created when I am done.  Notice how the pumpkins stand out here as I finished working on them.  I try to make the back as pleasing as I can but still work my way through all three thicknesses. Fall is beginning to arrives so I took the throw out and placed in one of my rod iron rocking chairs for the pictures.  The sun was shining and it was just a beautiful day to take pictures in.

Grandkids and I went shipping today to the thrift stores, we were just out killing time and I also have been on the look out for something that I could make over.  We go camping quite a bit and we are always a long ways away from the campsites trash cans.  So I wanted to get something vintage that I could work over and make my own.  So grandson took the extra metal strip to make the blades move off and then we removed the blades inside the spreader...now we will place a metal strip over the axles and make it safe for little fingers to reach the garbage sack. The color of our 1967 vintage Bell camper is sunburst yellow by rustoleum.  I love, love, love the color.  So I after washing the spreader and giving it a good scrub.  I am now painting with a brush.  This will take at least 3 coats of paint. So finished painting used rustoleum sunburst yellow and silver...touch upped with rustoleum black. Added a plastic bin that can be taken out and washed lined with garbage bag.  As the
