Working on a Christmas tea and getting all my items together...so many little things to remember to take and get all ready.  Here is a picture of the ice skates for the back of the chairs, the hand crocheted snowmen for the dessert plates and the snowman poop for favors.

New Project...Refinishing Oak Bar Stools

Image
BEFORE PICTURE: AFTER PICTURE: My new project.  Picked these up for like nothing at a Country Thrift Store while traveling to visit our daughter who lives about 6 hours away.  We had a great time and at every little country town we stopped and checked out the thrift stores.  We finally found these two bar stools that twirl.  They are very solid and made from real oak wood.  I love the look of oak the grain of the wood stands out so pretty.  These stools I am having a hard time trying to decide whether to sand and refinish in a dark walnut stain so the wood stands out but in the popular dark wood color or to sand and paint white and antique them.  Family members are divided in which way to go.  Either way I won't be keeping these, they will soon be sold at our next vendor showing in Boise at Idaho's Largest Yard Sale.
