Working on 1967 Vintage "Maizy Belle" 10 foot camper
Been out working on our 67 mini Bell .... getting it ready for our first camping trip in April with our daughter and her family. We won't be going far, but always want it as close to ready as possible so that if we have any issues, we are close to stores to get it fixed. Every year I choose a different theme for the decor in the inside of "Maizy Belle" and this year I chose the garden theme. I want it to be soft, cozy, peaceful and relaxing. Most of the items I have chosen to redo her in are either ones I have had for years or purchased very cheaply. The bedspread is from a thrift store years ago and is a white chenille. Love it so much but on the fair side never put the tassels where they can hit you in the face at night or all night you will feel like something is crawling on you.
The curtains are from a 1960's sheet that I got in the original package a few years ago. So I washed it up and lined it with white muslin and made my curtains. I have had the 1970's flowered linen tablecloth for probably 20 years and just never used it. So I made the curtain for the small bathroom with it. Goes pretty good with the main curtains. The curtain over the kitchen sink is just a white valance from the thrift store for $1.00. I made the green crocheted throw to use as a accent color. Pillows are just ones I had in the family room downstairs. Except for the one that says "I love biscuits and gravy" a good friend Pat made this one for me.
I crocheted the rug that goes into the bathroom and we have just a porta potty in there. The bathroom is 22"x30". So it is mainly used by grandkids.....
This camper is just perfect for me ...it is my relaxing place. I go to soul search here...pray here...relax and really sleep good here....and just be me here.
It's my camper so hubby lets me do anything I want with it. I won't go camping without him though he does all the outside things.
I will be posting pictures as I get things done in my camper so stay tuned and come back often to see the improvements. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive, nothing flattery......just me...
