Sanding table

Today was sunny and bright out but a cold wind was blowing.   So I went to work on the house....stripping down wall paper that I put a few months ago and thought I would love it.  Well, I lived with it and today it all came down.  All over.....hubby came home and said "what in the world".  I told him I found a paint scrapper and it had to come down.

I then went to work on our dining room table...it was oak and I painted it over 6 years ago white....been looking at it and wanting to take time to strip down the top and make it oak again....so today was the day.....sanded and sanded....

I then looked at our side table in the dining room...this is an older stand and I love all the detail...but I have so many vintage dishes and just dishes.....I went looking over the house and found an old shelf that has 5 shelves on each side....so I lugged it up the steps and heaved it onto the stand....but then I was afraid it might fall so I had to attach it to the wall.   After a couple hours it was all clean and filled with vintage items....

Next I needed to work on our steps we have 3 steps that drop down into the living room that when we purchased the house was the garage.  We remodeled it and made it into a living room/dining room.  The problem is it is about 2 feet lower than the rest of the house.  Which means grand babies who are just learning to walk have a terrible time going up and down these steps.....so I decided to measure and plan and I think I have devised a way to make a hand rail.....just need to get hubby on board to help me.

All in all it has been a blessed day...
