Spring Break

Spring break and I am home with three grandkids and having a great time. This morning we made cookies and then played outside for a while until to cold to stay out. Then came in to board games, dominoes, puzzles, cartoons and more snacks. Having some company for Easter so trying to get a few things done. After Wednesday I have to work each day for 8 hours per day so not going to get much done on those days. Seems like the more I work at something the more I find to do..not to hard though when we are in a re-modeling job in every room. So many little things to finish like trim, crown moldings, touch up paint jobs, new drapes, change out pictures (which I do a lot) and so it never ends.

I love Easter. One of my favorite holidays..we always get up really early and go to sunrise service somewhere. It's getting harder every year to find a church who has one...then to breakfast to get back home and put on new Easter clothes for the Easter service at church. No longer doing Easter baskets. we just do them for the grandkids...I love the Easter grass, clothes, service, candy, and just the so pretty colors of Easter and the newness of the coming year...

Well, enough said time to get back to work and see what else I can do...

    I love Easter too! God's Grace given to us! Thanks for following! My lil girl broke her arm Saturday and I haven't been seeing who has come to visit me, I appreciate it, Love!

 We are on this journey and it seems to be a whole lot involved with it.  Decisions that a person must stop and face.  One is on my mind today and that is ......our home.  When we purchased this home 21 years ago we were thinking about living in it for about 5-8 years and then selling.  But it became home.  So we have stayed.   Now, that we are dealing this these diseases it's time to take another look at our home.  It is two levels, so stairs....and it also has a drop down extra living room with 3 steps down and on the other side a two step up to kitchen.  Now with hubby starting to have walking and standing issues...and dizzy problems.  Time to rethink.. Of course I think it's no problem for me...I got this but the laundry room is in the basement with two more bedrooms, family room and pantry.  So I go up and down these stairs all day long.  And I am getting older so decisions. Do we sell?.....do we stay put until things get real bad?  do we let the kids just take over?.....d

Removing and replacing our old pathway

 We moved into our home about 15 years ago at that time we decided to place a walkway down through the yard to a firepit.  Our family loves to sit around the backyard fire and roast hotdogs and marshmallows.  We haven't done much to the walkway except spray it once in a while with weed kill but today we decided it was time to remove and repair.  So we began to dig out the bricks..it was amazing how some were buried and some were broken.  They all were beginning to sink down deeper and deeper. There was a lot of moss that had even grown over the top of them.  But hubby and I worked together and got them all dug up.  The pathway went from the deck to the firepit ring.  All of these bricks have been recycled we would watch for free ones.  Sometimes just driving down the road there would be bricks with a sign take all you want.  So some of these bricks have different says on them.  We also enjoy using our dutch ovens.  So son showed us how to maybe add a dutch oven are

 Late in the year of 2023 my hubby started loosing a lot of weight for no reason just not hungry.  Once in a while he complained that his stomach was hurting.  So we scheduled doctor appointments ....doctors checked him out, ran blood work, scans, MRI's, etc....and every test came back nothing was wrong.  He was fine.  So we would leave and I would notice things...something just wasn't right.  Also, son kept noticing that his Dad's hand would shake sometimes....then his eye began to twitch....so I took him to the eye doctor and he was fine.  Again more MRI's and nothing wrong.  The eye kept twitching and the hand kept shaking. Our primary doctor said "Well, we can send him through a bunch of tests, but the out come will be the same".  Nothing we can do.  I wanted answers.
